AfterFast, Reliable AC Repair Across Everman
AC repair in Everman, TX typically costs $150-$650, and our AC Repair team usually arrives the same day you call. We’re familiar with the 1960s-1980s ranch homes that dominate Everman’s streets off Forest Hill Drive and Bishop Street, and we know why one hot bedroom is almost never the condenser’s fault in this city. Call (817) 402-2972 - a live person answers, day or night.
Our technicians dispatch from our Dallas-Fort Worth coordination office and serve Everman directly. We’ve worked on Goodman systems pushing 20 years, Trane units in the neighborhoods near Everman Parkway, and Lennox equipment throughout the older subdivisions where original flex ductwork still runs through attics that hit 140°F by July. That local knowledge matters. We don’t waste time guessing why your cooling failed.
Why Coldharbour Heating & Air Is Everman’s Preferred AC Repair Company
We’ve been part of the Kingswell network since 2003, and our independently owned operation has built a reputation in Everman by showing up in the window we promised and putting every guarantee in writing before we leave. Homeowners here have been quoted full system replacements for what turned out to be a disconnected duct boot - we don’t operate that way.
Our response time to Everman neighborhoods is typically same-day for standard calls and within hours for emergencies during peak summer. We know the local roads, the older home patterns, and the specific failure modes this soil and climate produce.
Every technician is background-checked, uniformed, and trained on nine major brands including Trane, Lennox, Goodman, and Rheem. The price you get in writing before any work starts is the price you pay. No exceptions.
Our 365-Day Done Right Promise means if a repair fails within a full year, we come back and correct it at no charge. That guarantee is written down every time, not offered verbally and forgotten.
AC Maintenance in Everman
AC Maintenance in Everman is not optional if you own a 1960s-1980s ranch with original attic ductwork and a system that’s already 15-20 years old. The combination of Blackland Prairie clay shifting your foundation, 140°F+ attic temperatures degrading flex duct seals, and equipment running past its design life means small problems become emergency failures fast. A tune-up runs $80-$200 and includes a written report of exactly what we found.
What We Check on Every Visit
We test refrigerant charge, inspect the lineset for corrosion, measure static pressure across the evaporator coil, and pull the attic hatch to examine flex duct connections. In Everman, that attic inspection often reveals boots that have separated from plenums years ago - silent airflow losses the homeowner never knew about.
When Everman Homeowners Need Maintenance
Schedule before the cooling season starts in April, and again if you’ve had any foundation work or noticed new hot spots. Given Everman’s 8-9 month cooling demand, waiting for a breakdown in August means competing with every other failed system in Tarrant County for same-day service.
AC Service in Everman
AC Service in Everman covers everything from no-cool emergencies to performance complaints like weak airflow or uneven temperatures between rooms. We diagnose first, quote in writing second, and only then begin repair work. Most service calls in this city run $150-$650 depending on whether we’re sealing ductwork, replacing a failed capacitor, or recharging refrigerant on a corroded lineset.
Emergency Response
Phones are answered by a live person 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. No voicemail trees, no callbacks in the morning. When temperatures hit triple digits and your system quits, that matters. We prioritize Everman calls based on safety - elderly residents, infants, and homes with medical equipment get first available slots.
Diagnostic Approach
We start with static pressure testing and temperature split measurements before condemning any component. Too many Everman homeowners have been sold compressors when the real problem was a duct boot dangling in a 140°F attic. Our written diagnosis shows you exactly what failed and why.
Trusted Brands We Service in Everman
Our technicians carry training certifications and common parts for Trane, Lennox, Goodman, and Rheem - four of the brands we see most often in Everman’s older housing stock. We don’t have to order capacitors, contactors, or blower motors for these units; they’re on the truck. That means same-day completion on most repairs rather than a return visit after parts arrive. Whether your system is a 25-year-old Rheem or a newer Goodman SEER2 unit, we can work on it. And if you’re considering replacement, we’ll tell you honestly when repair stops making financial sense.
Common AC Repair Problems We See in Everman Homes
- Disconnected flex duct boots in the attic. Blackland Prairie clay shifts foundations and trunk lines, breaking the seal between duct boots and plenums. Homeowners notice one hot room; we find 30-40% of their airflow heating the attic instead.
- Failed capacitors on aging systems. Everman’s budget-constrained homeownership means equipment runs 15-20 years past typical replacement age. Capacitors fail under that extended load, especially when undersized return air makes the blower motor work harder.
- Refrigerant leaks from corroded linesets. Original copper linesets in these 1960s-1980s homes have decades of exposure. Pinhole leaks develop, slowly dropping charge until the evaporator ices or the compressor overheats.
- Undersized return air and low-SEER-era ductwork. Duct systems sized for 8-SEER equipment can’t handle the static pressure modern systems require. Blower motors strain, duct seams fail, and the house never reaches set temperature despite the condenser running constantly.
Pricing for AC Repair in Everman, TX
Most AC repairs in Everman fall between $150 and $650, with tune-ups running $80-$200. A simple capacitor replacement might land at the lower end; duct re-sealing and re-strapping in a 140°F attic, or a refrigerant recharge with leak detection, pushes toward the higher end.

FAQs About AC Repair in Everman
It’s almost always a duct problem in Everman. The Blackland Prairie clay under these 1960s-1980s ranch homes shifts foundations and attic trunk lines, disconnecting flex duct boots from their plenums. We regularly find boots that dropped years ago, sending 30-40% of conditioned air into a 140°F attic while the homeowner blames the condenser. We pull the attic hatch, inspect every connection, and measure static pressure before recommending any equipment replacement. Call (817) 402-2972 for a free diagnostic - estimates are free.
Schedule AC maintenance annually, ideally in April before the cooling season peaks. With Everman’s 8-9 month cooling demand, 140°F+ attic temperatures, and original ductwork that’s already 40-60 years old, annual inspection catches separated boots, corroded linesets, and failing capacitors before they become August emergencies. Our tune-up includes a written report of every finding. Call (817) 402-2972 to book - estimates are free.
Replace it if the repair exceeds 30-40% of a new system’s cost and the unit has already outlived its design life. In Everman, we see 18-year-old Goodman and Rheem units that still run but are paired with failing ductwork and undersized returns. Sometimes a $400 repair buys two more years; sometimes that same $400 is better applied toward a properly sized system with sealed ducts. We give you both numbers in writing and let you decide. Call (817) 402-2972 for honest guidance - estimates are free.
We service heat pumps and mini splits in addition to traditional split-system AC. Everman’s periodic hard freezes - February 2021’s Winter Storm Uri was catastrophic here - exposed how vulnerable older heat pumps and heat-strip systems are in poorly insulated homes. We repair and replace all configurations, and we’ll tell you honestly whether a heat pump or traditional AC makes sense for your specific home and budget. Call (817) 402-2972 to discuss - estimates are free.
Most AC repairs in Everman run $150-$650.
