Who We’re Looking For
- HVAC Service Technician – Someone who can diagnose a Carrier, Trane, or Goodman system without a guess, explain what they found in plain language, and close the job with a written guarantee in hand.
- HVAC Installation Technician – A person who takes clean ductwork and correct equipment sizing personally, and who understands that a new system is only as good as the install behind it.
- Apprentice / Entry-Level Technician – Someone who’s good with their hands, not afraid of a tight attic, and willing to earn their skills the right way – working alongside experienced techs, not watching videos alone.
- Lead Technician – An experienced tech who’s ready to run a call independently, mentor newer crew members, and be the person a homeowner trusts from the first knock on the door.
- Dispatcher / Scheduling Coordinator – Someone who stays calm when three calls come in at once, communicates clearly with both technicians and homeowners, and understands that showing up in the window we gave is not optional.
- Customer Service Representative – A person who picks up the phone – live, every time, any hour – and treats the homeowner on the other end like a neighbor, not a ticket number.

Apprentices at Coldharbour don’t get handed a manual and left alone with it. You work calls with experienced technicians, learn on the nine major residential brands we service – Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem, York, Daikin, Bryant, and American Standard – and build toward lead-tech responsibilities at a pace tied to what you can actually do, not just how long you’ve been here. The path from apprentice to lead is real, and so is the ongoing technical training that makes it possible.

Steady, Year-Round Demand
HVAC is not a seasonal side job. Heating and cooling systems fail in January and in July, and homeowners need a live person on the phone when they do – which is exactly why our phones are answered around the clock, every day of the year. That demand is consistent, and it means consistent work for the people on our crews. We’re not scrambling for volume in the off-season because the off-season doesn’t really exist when you service both heating and cooling.

If you’ve spent time doing plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, auto mechanics, or any trade where you had to diagnose a problem with your hands before you could fix it, more transfers than you think.
Reading a wiring diagram, figuring out why a system isn’t behaving the way it should, working in uncomfortable spaces without losing focus – those habits carry. We teach the HVAC-specific side: refrigerant, airflow, combustion, the quirks of specific equipment, and the paperwork that protects both you and the homeowner.
The first months are structured. You’ll shadow experienced technicians on real calls, not run them solo. You’ll ask questions. You’ll make mistakes in situations where there’s someone beside you to catch them. That’s the point. We’d rather take the time to build a good technician than rush someone into a situation they’re not ready for. If you’re willing to put in the work, we’re willing to teach it.
