Available Franchise Territories

Coldharbour Heating & Air is opening protected territories in markets where homeowners have been let down by no-shows, door-price changes, and repairs that failed a month later. We’re looking for operators who want first-mover advantage in a territory they can build and keep. When you claim a market, you’re not competing with the Coldharbour location down the street. You are Coldharbour in that market. Your name on the truck, your crew in the homes, and the full weight of the Kingswell standards behind you.

Call (817) 402-2972

Each territory is exclusive. That means the operator who commits gets the whole map, not a slice of it. We’d rather grow slowly with the right people than paper over a state with owners who treat the guarantee like a suggestion.

Open Markets

These markets currently have open territory. If you see your city or region below, give us a call. We’ll tell you plainly what’s available and what’s already claimed.

  • Texas – Long cooling seasons and brutally hot summers keep demand steady from April through October, with a second spike when the first cold front hits.
  • Florida – Heat and humidity run air conditioning nearly year-round here. Condenser coils work hard and fail often. It’s a market built for a guarantee people can actually use.
  • California – Wildfire-season air quality pushes filter and duct work to the front of the conversation, alongside aging rooftop package units.
  • Georgia – Atlanta’s sprawl and the surrounding counties are full of thirty-year-old systems reaching end of life at the same time.
  • North Carolina – Heat pumps dominate in the Piedmont and coastal plain, and a technician who understands defrost cycles and auxiliary heat strips earns trust fast.
  • Arizona – The Phoenix and Tucson metros run AC at full load for months. When a compressor fails in July, homeowners don’t shop around, they call the first name they recognize.
  • Tennessee – Nashville, Knoxville, and Chattanooga have a mix of gas furnaces and heat pumps, with older housing stock that needs honest repair over replacement-first scare tactics.
  • Ohio – Sub-zero nights test furnaces and the companies that service them. A written guarantee matters more here than almost anywhere in the country.
  • Pennsylvania – Philadelphia row homes, Pittsburgh hillside houses, and the Harrisburg corridor all have older gas-fired equipment ready for a company that says the price before the work.
  • Colorado – High-efficiency furnaces at altitude are different equipment than the same model at sea level. A tech who knows altitude derate and proper venting wins there.
  • Washington – The Puget Sound area runs heat pumps through mild winters and warm summers, with ductless mini-splits growing fast in older homes.
  • Virginia – Richmond, Hampton Roads, and NoVA combine humid summers with real winters. Homeowners there see both sides of the trade every year.

If the territory you want is on this list, the next step is a phone call. We’ll tell you exactly what’s open, what the boundaries look like, and what it takes to hold the map.

How Territories Work

When you claim a Coldharbour territory, the boundary is drawn on a map and locked. It isn’t shared. It isn’t re-sold out from under you two years later because a bigger operator waved a check. You get the geography you committed to, and you build your name inside it. If a homeowner inside your boundary calls the Coldharbour line, the job is yours. That’s the point of a protected territory: the work that comes in from your area stays in your area.

Exclusivity means you’re not competing against another Coldharbour truck parked three streets over. Independent HVAC companies in your market? They’re still there, and you’ll still have to earn every job. But the Coldharbour name in your territory belongs to one operator. That’s a meaningful head start when homeowners search for a company that puts the price in writing and backs the repair with a 365-day guarantee.

Territories are reserved on a first-committed basis. No one holds a map with a handshake and a maybe. When you’re ready to move, we draw the boundaries together based on population, service density, and what you can reasonably cover. Then we put it in writing. Until a territory is claimed, it stays on the open list. Once it’s claimed, it comes off. That’s the whole process, and we don’t complicate it.

The operator inside a territory is an independent business owner who agreed to work to the Kingswell written standards. Coldharbour doesn’t pretend to be from every town. Each location is a local company that chose to put the guarantee in writing, answer the phone with a live person, and show up in the window it gave. The name carries, but the business is yours to run.

What “The Kingswell Way” Demands

Every Coldharbour operator, in every territory, works to the same five commitments. These aren’t suggestions in a welcome packet. They’re the operating code.

  • Say the price before the work. A written price is handed to the homeowner before a single tool comes out. The number doesn’t change at the door.
  • Show up in the window we gave. A real arrival window, kept. No “sometime between eight and whenever.”
  • Leave the place cleaner than we found it. Drop cloths, shoe covers, and a swept floor before the truck pulls away.
  • Put the guarantee in writing. Every repair gets a written guarantee, not a verbal promise. If it fails inside 365 days, Coldharbour returns and corrects the work at no charge.
  • Come back if it fails. The 365-Day Done Right Promise isn’t conditional. The second visit costs the homeowner nothing, and the operator stands behind the original repair for a full year.

If you can run a business on those five commitments, you’re the kind of operator we’re looking for. If you’d rather upsell a new system than honor a repair guarantee, this isn’t your fit, and we’ll tell you that on the first call.

Why the Coldharbour Name Helps

The name comes from a cold harbour: a roadside shelter where travelers waited out rough weather. That’s the job description. Comfort in any season, for people who’ve been stuck out in it before. Homeowners don’t need another company that promises five-star service on a website and sends a stranger to their door. They need a company that answers, shows up, and stands behind the work in writing. That’s what the name means, and it’s what an operator gets to claim when they put it on the side of a truck.

Technicians who work under the Coldharbour name are trained on nine major residential brands: Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem, York, Daikin, Bryant, and American Standard. That breadth matters when a territory includes hundreds of different systems installed across three decades. Background-checked, uniformed technicians show up to every call, so homeowners know exactly who’s walking through the door. And every Coldharbour line is answered by a live person, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The phones are a shared operating cost, and they’re not optional.

What an Operator Gets

You get a protected territory, the Coldharbour name, the written guarantee that backs every repair, and the operating standards that make the business predictable. You don’t get a corporate chain hovering over your shoulder. Each location is independently owned and operated, which means you run your crew, your schedule, and your relationships. What we supply is the system that keeps promises enforceable and reputations intact.

The 365-Day Done Right Promise is the center of the brand because it’s the thing homeowners trust most. A repair guarantee that survives a full heating season and a full cooling season, written down before the technician leaves. Not a warranty buried in fine print. A piece of paper with the repair, the date, and the promise on it. Operators who honor that promise build a customer base that doesn’t shop around next time. That’s the whole business model, and it works in every market on the open list.

Claim Your Territory

If one of the open markets above is your territory, call (817) 402-2972 and ask to speak with Victor about availability. We’ll tell you what’s open, what’s claimed, and what the next step looks like. Territories go to operators who commit, not to operators who wait.
